Nick Catliff

Nick was co-founder and MD of Lion Television which became one of the UK’s leading factual production companies with bases in London, Glasgow and New York. Lion made some great shows including “Castaway”, “Boston Law”, “Paddington Green”, “Britain from Above” and “Horrible Histories”, “Rebuilding The World Trade Center”. He was also founder and CEO of Lion’s US subsidiary which produced content for a wide range networks including “Cash Cab”, “Playing it Straight”, “America Revealed” and “History Detectives”.

His programmes have won BAFTA, EMMY, RTS and Broadcast Awards. He took the Lion Group through acquisition by All3 Media before exiting in 2021.

Since leaving Lion Nick has worked as a creative and business consultant to indies in the UK, US and Europe. He was co-EP, with Lucy, on “Alexander The Great: The Making of a God” for Netflix, EP on “Titanic:  The Digital Resurrection”  for Disney+/National Geographic as well as projects for Channel 4, Channel 5, PBS, ZDF, Arte and France Television.

He is a board member of The Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He also has a dog that watches television and is a member of Team GB Age Group Triathlon Team…

Lucy van Beek

Lucy is a multiple award-winning film maker who specialises in creating epic, entertaining stories that have true heart.  Her films have won seven Emmys, a BAFTA, the New York Film Festival Creative Award and numerous science and natural history gongs.  
  
She began her career working at the BBC’S Natural History Unit on Sir David Attenborough’s “Song of the Earth”.  Since then she has successfully delivered ambitious and delightful factual, factual entertainment and Children’s shows and run two prestigious Indies: Blakeway & Tailfeather Productions.  Her credits include the award-winning “Riders of the storm” “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”, “Modern Masters”, “Britain from Above”, “The Crusades”, “China’s Megatomb Revealed” and the global ratings smash; “The Wonderful World of Puppies”.  More recently she has delivered “Alexander: The Making of a God” for Netflix and “Born to be Wild” for Apple TV.
